The Carriage House is an 800-square-foot separate building with many special features listed below:

Pictured above is the Living Room in The Carriage House (including a full-size sleeper sofa & upholstered chair as well as a glass-topped dining table and antique dining chairs), very high ceilings, exposed beams, and a hand-made staircase leading to a balcony on the second floor.

The huge KING bedroom is on the second floor with a spacious seating area which overlooks the gardens.

Well-behaved pets are welcome to come with you (this suite only) and stay in their own special kennel area (measuring 6' x 4'), which is attached to the suite.  Please discuss with Innkeeper when making your reservations to learn details.

Legend tells us that General Robert E. Lee boarded his horse in this carriage house -- most likely when his daughters were attending a private school across the street, Stuart Hall.  It still has the very high ceilings, some original exposed brick wall, the old beams -- but everything else has been totally renovated and restored.
